Some of the best ballroom dancing of the month is hosted by the Green Mountain chapter of USA Dance, the US ballroom dance association, at the Elly Long Music Center at St. Michael's College. The ballroom is beautiful, with a huge hardwood floor. The music is provided by two DJs, alternating months. A free beginner's lesson in either waltz or fox trot is offered from 7:00 - 7:30, with a second lesson in a "featured dance" offered from 7:30 - 8:30. Open dancing follows from 8:30 - 11:00 pm. • From I89 & Winooski: Take I89 to Exit 15. Take Route 15 past Saint Michael's College and the Vermont National Guard Base. At next traffic light, turn left into Fort Ethan Allen. Take 2nd right onto Ethan Allen Avenue. The Center is down the street on your left.

• From Essex: Take Route 15 towards Saint Michael's College. After Susie Wilson Road turn right into Fort Ethan Allen at the traffic light. Take 2nd right onto Ethan Allen Avenue. The Center is on your left.

• Parking: There is parking directly behind the building in a parking lot. There is also parking behind the building in a large field. This is also a limited amount of parking on Ethan Allen Ave. DO NOT park beside the apartment building that is next to the Music Center.
