About Tango
The Tango originated in the brothels of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and subsequently made its way to Europe, where it was modified and became immensely popular in high society Paris in the 1920's.

Today, there are a variety of Tango styles, of which International Tango is the competitive DanceSport incarnation. It is danced in competitions around the world and looks very different from its Argentinian roots.
